Crispy Chicken Nuggets!

This is one Chicken Recipe i never get bored of making and each time i make it, i get to see expressions of pure joy and ecstasy on my family’s face which makes it so worth it!  These Crispy Chicken Nuggets are juicy and tender on the inside and super crispy on the outside and kids and grown ups simply love them. They are simply unputdownable and are a sure shot winner of an appetizer. Warning: These little poppers can disappear in no time! If you’ve never made them then it’s high time that you do!

In this recipe i’ll teach you a fool proof  crispy and pretty flaky crust for these Chicken Nuggets! Just follow each step and leave nothing out and you should do just fine! Who am i kidding? You’ll do so fine that you’ll be a kitchen super star! As usual this recipe is sprinkled with a generous number of useful tips which actually take Chicken Nuggets to a whole different level!

Here’s my version of this age old and super popular recipe!

Ingredients for Three Servings which probably will be gobbled up in a minute or so: 

Chicken – 200 Grams of Chicken Breast
Elephant Garlic – 1 Head
Pepper – 1/2 Teaspoon Freshly Ground
Salt – To Taste
Corn Flour – 1 Heaped Teaspoon
Egg – 1 Large
Plain Flour – Enough for Coating Chicken Nuggets
Paprika – 3/4th Teaspoon
Baking Powder – 1 Pinch
Oil – Enough for Deep Frying

Prep for Crispy Chicken Nuggets: 

Cut the Chicken into bite size pieces. Remember to cut them at an angle of 45° or 60° against the grain as they’ll soak up more flavor and remain moist and juicy!

You can use Garlic Powder and substitute the Garlic Head for 2 Teaspoons of Garlic Powder but i was out of Garlic Powder and had to use fresh Garlic which was equally nice if not better. There can never be too much Garlic for me but if you feel that the amount of Garlic for this tiny amount of Chicken is too over the top then please do reduce to the quantity of Garlic your comfortable with!

Make a paste of the Garlic with a tiny bit of water. Add this to the Chicken pieces. Add Freshly Ground Pepper and Salt and set aside for half an hour.

Break the Egg and mix it well with the Chicken Pieces. Then add the Corn Flour and mix really well. Make sure the Chicken is well coated with the Corn Flour.

Place the Flour in a shallow plate and to it add the Paprika and Baking Powder. Mix well.

Dunk the Chicken Pieces in the Flour Mixture and coat really well. Set aside after coating and set aside for a minimum of ten minutes.

Place a wok on the stove and heat it up. Test the oil by putting in a bit of flour. If the flour rises to the top immediately and sizzles then your oil is at the right temperature!

Gently drop in the Chicken pieces one by one into the wok and fry for eight minutes on medium high heat or till golden brown. Stir occasionally while frying.

And that’s it!  You just made yourself Crispy Chicken Nuggets which are super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! Bite into one and you’ll see how awesome they are! And can you see how flaky and crispy the coating is which is quite similar to a popular chain of American fast food restaurants whose name i cannot mention.

Enjoy these with ketchup or a dip of your choice!

So simple and so easy and it hardly takes time to prepare and make a wonderfully tasty snack such as this. Now i never said it’s a healthy snack so please do  fair amount of exercise after eating this!
