I know the picture is not great and eye-catching and hardly works as click bait. I was too hungry and could hardly wait to eat so i just threw it all together, clicked and then bit into pure deliciousness. Bliss and joy at the same time!

This was one of those recipe which came about accidentally! Really! I was feeling kinda fuzzy in the head one evening and for the life of me i could not decide what to make for dinner! And boy was i hungry! So i decided to bake a basic white bread with some kind of simple meat recipe.
I kneaded the dough for bread and left it to rise. Meanwhile in a pressure cooker i put some oil and put in a bit of Pork Shoulder with some whole Garlic, one Shallot, crushed Pepper, Salt and a dash of Soy Sauce. Scratched my head for a second and then added some Paprika, put in some water and put the lid on. Kept cooking it on low heat and low and behold after 40 minutes i had soft and tender pork! A bit of pulling on it and i had Pulled Pork. But when i checked on my dough my heart sank! It had not risen at all! I felt so down! Bleh! That was a hair wrenching moment!
My wife came to my rescue just then and said that if the dough was made into Naans they would be fine! I so gladly agreed! Relief! Disaster averted! The Naans were soft and amazing! We splattered on some mayo and spooned on some Pulled Pork and dinner was a roaring success! Team work at it’s best!
Oh by the way the Naans were made in a tawa and not in a tandoor oven! Pretty neat! I’ve given how to make this yourself at home and wow your friends and family below! Enjoy!
Here’s how to make my version of Pulled Pork:
Ingredients for 4 Servings:
Pork Shoulder – 1/2 Kilo on the Bone
Garlic – 1 Head Peeled
Shallot – 1 Medium Sized Peeled
Pepper – 1/4th Teaspoon Freshly Crushed
Paprika – 1/2 Teaspoon
Sugar – 1/2 Teaspoon
Salt – 3/4th Teaspoon or as per Taste
Soy Sauce – 1 1/2 Teaspoon
Cooking Oil – 2 Teaspoons
Water – 1/2 Cup
Prep for Pulled Pork –
Peel Garlic and Shallot. Chop roughly.
Prep done! Yes it’s that easy!
Let’s get Cooking:
Put all ingredients together in a pressure cooker. Stir a bit. Put lid on. Cook on low heat for 40 to 45 minutes.
Open pressure cooker after said time. Stir and pull at the Pork gently. It should easily fall away from the bone. Evaporate water. Once dryish remove from flame. Don’t fry the Pork too much otherwise it will become dry which makes it hard to swallow! Pulled Pork done!
Here’s how to make really simple Naans at home and in a Tawa:

Once your dough has risen or even if it has not, divide them into small portions and roll them out into little round disks (for want of a better word) of around 1/8th of an inch.
Heat up a Tawa on medium high heat and place 1 round disk on it. No oil needed. Cook on each side on medium-low heat for 2 to 3 minutes and remove from flame. Do this for all the dough.
As usual I’ve made you a superstar in the kitchen! Trust me! Everyone you make this recipe for is going to love it! And look at you with wonder and amazement thinking they’ve got to come over more often!
Your home made Naans are done! That was so easy.
Serve hot and hot! Put a generous dollop of Mayo on it and put a generous serving of Pulled Pork! Wrap it up or fold it and dig in!
